How to increase Transmitting Power

1) If I wanted to increase the power (watts) that is sent to the transducer, I assume can use something to boost the output voltage like a DC to DC boost converter? Is there another/better way to increase the excitation voltage without using the boost board that comes with the GASEVM? Lets say I wanted 400V.

2) For calculating the power in watts to the transducer, am I right in reading the data sheet that the max driving current on the output pin is 22mA and max voltage is 5.5V-.32V=5.18V? So it's delivering .11396 Watts?

3) Is there a way to increase the output drive current beyond 22mA?

  • 1. We only have the GASEVM boost circuit you point out that supports 30V excitation output. Sorry we don't have any other recommendation.
    2. Note TX is a pulsed output and those are the typical current and voltage numbers when the TX excitation pulses are generated. You can choose the number of burst pulses applied as 0 to 31.
    3. No
