Hi Faizan,
Being a solid-state sensor, it should virtually never wear out. There is a calculated MTBF and FIT published here. The DRV5023 is actually the same device as the automotive version, DRV5023-Q1 (it's just tested differently), and the Q1 was qualified according to the AEC-Q100 Grade 0 standard. It involves 2000 temperature cycles of -55C to 150C, and 2000 hours of stress to simulate >10 year wear at the highest operating voltage (38V) and temperature (150C).
In safety systems, a common technique is to use multiple sensors for redundancy. This can be done with 2 identical sensors, or using 2 that have inverse outputs. For this, we made the DRV5023-Q1 "FA" and "FI" versions, where the "FI" has an inverted voltage output. When a magnetic South pole comes close to the package, the FA output becomes Low and the FI output becomes High-Z (should be externally pulled up to High).
