Performance characteristics of PGA900 and PGA400

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA900

Hello,

We are trying to develop a product with a high accuracy pressure sensor.

the voltage span of our sensor element will be +/-22mV, we should be able to detect changes in pressure of 10kHz.

1) Is there any avalible data on how the PGA900 and PGA400 behaves (noise, drift, accuracy).

2) will the Delta-Sigma (and the whole analog path) be able to detect fast signal changes (10kHz)

thank you for your answer,

Jonas

  • Hi Jonas,

Noise, drift, and accuracy data can all be found in those device's respective datasheets. If there is something that you need that is not in the datasheet, please let me know. Most of what you are looking for can be found in section 6.13 and 6.14 of the PGA900 datasheet.

The ADC output rate can be either 64us or 128us. That is a little slower than what you need for 10 kHz if you'd want to sample at least twice every period.
