Hello,

I am trying to run tests on the TMP421 so I want to quickly code it. I am using the USB2Any GUI with slave address 0x2A (A0 & A1 floating) the internal address I assume would be the pointer register so I set it to 00 (local Temperature register) and I cannot write or read. This is my connections.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.

Hi Cameron,

With your USB2ANY connects to the computer, please make sure I2C is selected in the "Select Interfaces" button. Looks like you are using the latest USB2ANY 2.7V firmware. Could you please confirm by reading the firmware revision?

I suspected that the USB2ANY internal pull-up resistor might be too small and not enough in order to pull a logic high for TMP421. Please try to capture scope photo on SCL and SDA. If you can, also add 10kΩ resistor on SCL and SDA pins.

I was not able to get it working with the USB2any but I used a different I2Cdongle that could communicate.
