Standalone optical sensor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT101

Hello all.

I am using the OPT101 for a novel application in physiology. The results obtained so far seem good, but I am in desperate need of a similar but more compact solution, i.e, a standalone optical sensor that can be connected to a standalone amplifier, such as the one TI offers. I have tried using the NTE-3032, but it is not as sensitive as the OPT101, and it's also rather hard to find, expensive and not as small as I'd like. Could anyone point me towards the right sensor, be it from IT or another vendor?

Thank you.
