OPT8241-CDK-EVM: Reference Design

Part Number: OPT8241-CDK-EVM

Hello,

I am considering purchasing the OPT8241-CDK-EVM in order to evaluate the OPT8241 for my application.  Are there schematics for a reference design provided with the evaluation module?  Part of the evaluation will be determining the cost of integrating the circuitry into our product.

    Hi Scott,

    You can download the schematic files, BoM & CAD files for OPT8241 CDK from

    www.ti.com/.../OPT8241-CDK-EVM

    They are named as OPT8241-CDK-EVM Hardware under the Software category. Individual drawings containing measurements of lens, mounts etc are located in the Mechanical folder of the zip file you downloaded.
    BoM is present in \OPT8241-CDK-EVM-HWDesignFiles\Electrical\OPT8241-CDK-EVM IB 10-50_REV2P0V1_Final deliverables\REORDERDATA for the Illumination board and \OPT8241-CDK-EVM-HWDesignFiles\Electrical\OPT8241-CDK-EVM SB REV2P0V1_FINAL DELIVERABLES\REORDERDATA for the sensor board.

    Hi Scott,

    You would notice that the EVM has a lot of peripheral components that may or may not be necessary in your solution. Please take that into consideration when you evaluate the BOM cost of the camera.
