CCS/TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Ultrasonic flow meter application impulse problem

Hi everyone;

I am using TDC1000-TDC7200EVM and GUI for measuring flow rate.

While I measure flow rate, an impulse occurs which shown in attached print screen.

Can anyone help me to solve this strange problem?

Ahmet,

The impulse could be because of a sudden TOF change which in turn can happen due to air bubble or pressure change or some setup issue. Could you give us some more details of your setup and TDC1000 configuration? What's the flow sensor you are using?

Thanks for your fast response.

I use closed loop flow system without a motor drive so the changes of flow about up to 7%. I don't know the manufacturer of sensors because I've got a ready ultrasonic flow meter.

My TDC1000 and TDC7200 configurations are attached below.

Ahmet,
For flow applications "Receive Mode" field of TDC1000 register "CONFIG4" should be chosen as "Single Echo". Also, select CONFIG1 register "NUM_RX" as 5 STOP. In TDC7200 also, choose "Number of Stops" in CONFIG1 register as Five.
