My customer is cosidering adoption FDC2214.

I have two simple question.

1.Can this product also detect thin metal such as eyeglass frame?

2.What is the minimum distance and maximum distance to the target that this product can detect?

My customer want to know soon.

Please give me advice about two questions.

Hi Noriaki,

If you want to detect metal, I would suggest looking at our inductive sensing technologies. More can be found at www.ti.com/ldc and if you have any questions, please feel free to post in the Inductive Sensing Forum (e2e.ti.com/.../).

I understand you recommend LDC when detecting metal.
I will introduce LDC to my customer.

By the way.
What is the minimum distance and maximum distance to the target that this product can detect?
