Hello,

I need to find out if it is possible to capture a true grayscale image with OPT8241.

From our evaluation, we determined that 8241 CDK performs very well. However, we have a very specific need to capture a true grayscale image. A synthetic amplitude-based image is not sufficient for our application. We found out that it is not sensitive enough to targets with certain colors.

I'm afraid this is not possible. The OPT8241 cannot generate a true 2D grayscale image, and the amplitude image is the only one you can get.

The sensitivity behavior you report is due to the targets having low reflectivity for IR light.
