Linux/OPT8241-CDK-EVM: VoelViewer cannot be started in Ubuntu 14.04

In the Evaluation Module User Guide, it says that VoxelViewer can be used with the OPT8241 board in Ubuntu 14.04. However, the software category of the Product Page only shows one link for Voxel Viewer, which is for the Windows version. Understandably, when I run the voxelviewer executable in Ubuntu, it shows an error message. Is there a separate download link for the Ubuntu version of VoxelViewer?

Hi Roshan,

At this time, we do not support a Linux version of VoxelViewer and only the Windows version has an official release.

For Linux, you can use VoxelCLI, released as part of VoxelSDK. It is essentially a command line version of VoxelViewer, and allows full control of the CDK and the ability to capture and record vxl files.

I have compiled voxel sdk from source on Ubuntu, It works quite well, you can use it instead of voxel viewer
