TMP007: Object temperature range and accuracy

Hi Sir,

What's the maximum temperature that tmp007 can sense? Could it be used to sense 150 ℃ object and what about the accuracy. If not, does TI have another device that can perform contactless temperature sensing? Thank you.

    It is possible to measure object temperatures above 150C, but we will not specify accuracy for this range. Additionally, it would be necessary for the customer to design an enclosure for the sensor which A) provides adequate Field-of-View (FOV) for the distance and size of the measured object and B) insulates the sensor such that it will never exceed its max rated temperature of 125C even in presence of much higher object temperatures.

    We have data showing the TMP007 measurement  precision +/-3C in the object temperature range +25C....+300C with parts calibration. The precision can be even better if the object temp. calculation would be done outside the device or object temp range is reduced.. The through hole mounted method was used and via was covered with capton tape to lower the IR signal intensivity.
