LM35: LM35D operation at negative temperatures

Part Number: LM35

Hi,

Can I use the LM35D with negative temperatures?

Please explain the difference between LM35D and other family members e.g. LM35C which do support as low as -40oC operation.

Thanks a lot

Noam

  • Noam,

I recommend looking the recommended operation conditions in the datasheeet to determine the differences between the devices. LM35D is specified for 0 to 100C. Once you have determined the operating temperature range that you want you can then look at the available packages. Check out www.ti.com/.../samplebuy for more information. Also, the devices with the "A" letter in the name in general has better accuracy spec than other devices.
