LM35: Temp Senging part (TO-46)

Hi,

Measure the temperature of the object with LM35AH.

Which part of the TO-46 Metal package senses the temperature?
Is it the surface of the metal package?
Is it side?
Is it a lead wiring part?

Temperature measurement is being studied by bringing the surface of a metal package into contact with temperature objects.

    Hi Cafain,

    Thank you for reaching out to us. The temperature sensors device senses the temperature through sensor's package and its metal leads. For the sensors in plastic package, the majority contribution of the thermal path is the leads; however, the TO-CAN (TO-46) the dominant therm path through the package.

    Please refer to page 30 of the datasheet, the die mounts on top of the center plate where the cap and plate sealed together. Since this metal package, temperature is sensed all direction, but bottom side has the fastest temperature response.
