Hi there,

I have a few questions regarding the reference design OPT8241-CDK-EVM IB 10-50_REV2P0V1 of the laser board. I noticed that the signal ILLUM_REF comes from the QuadLaser and goes to the Connector from the overall block diagram on page 4 of the reference design but when looking at page 6 I don't see the signal anywhere on the laser schematic. Is this signal actually sent between the laser board and sensor board? If so what is ILLUM_REF used for? I cannot seem to locate it on the reference design other than on the connector.

Secondly, I was wondering if there are any alternative laser diodes we can use instead of the 22045498 from Lumentum that would work fine with this board? We are trying to cut down cost and these diodes seem a bit pricy for our early stage of design.
