Hi,

My AFE4403EVM evaluation module does not connect to my laptop. The GUI software and drivers are installed and seem to be working. The evaluation board gets power and the LEDs are operational. However, when launching the GUI, an error message comes up that it cannot connect to the module.

During the installation of the GUI software, the NI VISA component was not installed as I already have a more recent version installed on my laptop (as the latest version of NI Labview is installed on my laptop).

Would you have any suggestions of waht I could try to get the evaluation module working?

Hello Peter,

Can you provide a snapshot of your device manager specifically the COM ports?
Also what is the OS of your laptop? Is it Win10?
Which version of Labview do you have installed on your machine?

Thank you very much for your message.

The OS is Windows 10 and I have LabVIEW 2015 installed on my laptop. The VISA version installed is 5.6.

When I connect the evaluation board, the COM port assigned is COM30. The device shows as "USB serial device" - please see the attached image. When I try to update the driver using the driver supplied with the evaluation board, there is a message that the best driver software is already installed - please see the second image.
