TDC1000: Non-invasive, Non-intrusive ultrasonic water flow rate meter

The TDC1000 is certainly capable of driving the transducer you have chosen, but such a low frequency is generally not ideal for a flow metering solution. Please refer to this app note describing transducer selection: www.ti.com/.../snaa266a.pdf

It includes some options for reputable transducer manufacturers and specific examples.

The main challenge with a non-invasive ultrasonic water flow meter comes in the packaging of the solution, and the design of the mechanical components that place the transducers around the pipe. So while the TDC1000 will be able to drive the transducers, the actual measurement results will be heavily dependent on the mechanical design of the meter.

The ultrasound module I have chosen( KS-P201000H9.5TR ) is  working in 1 MHz , which is not enough for this application?  And the document  you provided( www.ti.com/.../snaa266a.pdf)  also discussing about 1Mhz ...Can you please clarify the same?

My mistake. When I looked into that transducer I came upon a page for another transducer in the same family at 40kHz. Yes, a 1MHz transducer would work with this type of system.
