Hi,

I can not find PCB gerber with impedance ID 3 & 4.

Please tell me impedance ID 3 & 4 is a special feature designed?

Hello ,
We have not used the impedance ID 3 and 4 in our EVM, but this is for reference incase you need a 50ohms controlled line on the L1 or a 100 ohms differential on L6. For example incase you need to route the HS data lines (LVDS) on the bottom layer for some reason you could use these dimensions for reference.

Hi,

It seems that the impedance's were calculated using the processed thickness of 2.067mil. I am curious as to why the processed thickness is so much higher than base thickness? Is it just that the manufacturer couldn't produce with 1/2 oz copper?

Hello Faiz,
This depends on the manufacturer and his process for blind vias ,plating etc. Different manufacturers might prefer different methods to achieve the same parameters , but the final processed thickness is what is important.
