IWR1443BOOST: Can a Reflection Measurement be Done at a Certain Distance Out of the Box?

The out of the box demo is design for hands on experimenting in an interior environment like an office or a conference room. For this type of environment we limit the chirp performance to ~25m range in the demo.

The demo comes with lots of configuration options that lets you scale the performance in different parameters like max range, range resolution and velocity resolution.

For level sensing specifically, we have a TI design that showcases power optimization, but also provides an example chirp configuration: www.ti.com/.../tidep-0091

In level sensing applications, it's possible to achieve accuracy of less than 1mm, but requires tweaking of the base chirps and the processing chain.

For larger objects, like cars, we have seen this chirp design perform significantly further away. The TI design Randy linked is a good example of seeing objects further away than out of box demo.
