AWR1642: How to make the mmw demo in SDK 1.0 to support 512 unique chirps

Hi,

Based on the mmw demo in sdk 1.0, my customer tried to modify the configuration to support 512 unique chirp in one frame, but it reports many issues. Do u have code to support my customer's requirement? If not, do u have plan to support?

Hi Andy,

There is an issue with mmw demo in mmwave-SDK for configuring 512 unique chirps over CLI.

I'll get back to you shortly with the workaround or plan to support this feature.

Jitendra,

I have made the mmw demo work to support 512 unique chirps. Based on my test it is need to change the below points.
1 Increase the system heap for both mss and dss;
2 Remove the 32chirps restriction in MmwDemo_parseProfileAndChirpConfig to support 512chirps;
3 As mailbox buffer space is limited to 2048bytes, the message between mss and dss cannot support up to 512chirps. I changed the code to use HSRAM for msg communication.
My customer tested on their board and not found issues till now, if any missed feel free to let me know.

Can you please try two chirps of same configuration and repeat them 256 times?

Vaibhav,

My customer's requirement is to configure 512 unique different chirps per frame which is supported by the hardware, but not supported in the SDK 1.0. I think BU should consider to support it in the next SDK version.
