TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Doubts regarding TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

Dear Sir,

I am working on TDC1000-TDC7200GasEVM to the calculate velocity of wind using 40khz utlasonic transceivers. I made the following changes in the configuration I got this as the transmitting signal. I wanted to check if this is the correct Tx signal. Also, how to get the echo signal? What changes do I make in the configurations to get it?

  • Hello Aparna,

First, please refer to section 8 of the TDC1000-GASEVM user's guide ( www.ti.com/.../sniu026a.pdf ). It appears that you do not have the HV boost enabled, which could mean that your signal is not powerful enough to reach the receiving transducer with enough signal strength left to detect it.

The graph tab on the GUI does not show the transmitting signal. It only shows the calculated time of flight values output by the TDC7200. In order to see the TX signal, you will have to monitor the TX pin with an oscilloscope. To see the echo you will need to monitor the RX pin of the receiving transducer, or the COMPIN pin.

    Regards,
