AWR1243BOOST: Radar Studio Script Failure

Part Number: AWR1243BOOST

Hi,

We have an AWR1243BOOST + MMWAVE_DEVPACK connected together. The setups for both the boards were done.

Both the boards are powered up and all the connections are active. The AWR1243BOOST is in SOP0 mode.

We tried talking to the boards with radar studio software v1.7.4.0 which was part of the dfp package downloaded from TI's website.

We get the following error right when radar studio window appears. Please note that we are running radar studio as an administrator. Please refer to the screen shot below for the error message.

Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you !

  • We are also not able to see any tabs which should show up for controlling the device. thank you.
  • Hello,

Output tab's error message seems to be matlab run time related. Do you have the matlab runtime engine installed?

For reference pasting a tail end of typical output log at start.

    [12:05:34] TESTING = false

    [12:05:34] ***Script completed successfully.***

In addition to Output tab, you should also see "Lua Shell" and "Output" tab, do you see any of those?

    Thank you,
    Vaibhav
  • Hello RJ,
The Radar studio user' guide , which is part of the DFP package, lists the pre-requisites and installation procedure for radar studio. Could you confirm if you have followed those steps? This includes the installation of Matlab run time engine V8.5.1 (32bit) as indicated by Vaibhav.

    Vivek
  • Thank you, Vivek and Vaibhav for your help ! We are now able to connect to the eval board set up.
