AWR1243: UART can not be connected in Radar stduio in customer's new AWR1243 board

Hi,
I am debugging the new AWR1243 board in customer. We met a problem that UART can’t be connected on their board in Radar studio V1.7.4.0. The snapshot is as below. We did below experiments:

Use the same Radar studio and devpack to connect to their old AWR1243 board (with ES1.0), the connection works
Use CCS to connect to AWR1243 via JTAG, it also works.
Use FlashProgamer to erase and update the image in flash, it can work.

Could you help to give some suggestion?

Hello Adam,
Can you double check if the device is indeed entering into SOP 2 mode? You mentioned that the JTAG connection is working. Can you read the following register from JTAG : 0xFFFFE268 and check the value of bits <2:0> ?

The value in that address is 0x00000007.

Hello Adam,
Looks like the SOP lines are not getting set properly on their board. For SOP 2 mode this value should be 2. Can you check on their schematics how these SOP lines are being driven ? Also can you set the SOP mode via Radar studio also and then read the same value from CCS?

Hi Vivek,
What is the meaning of value 7 in this register? I changed he SOP setting in Radar studio, but the register's value is always 7. Alos I changed the SOP jumper on the board to different setting. When I changed SOP jumper to SOP 5 (flashing mode), the value in the register is 5, in all the other setttings, the register values are always 7.

Hello Adam,
The value 7 means all the SOP pins are being detected as 1. It looks like some of the SOP pins are always getting pulled to high.

Hello Vivek,
Thanks a lot for the very good suggestion. Finally we found the problem is a wrong resistor connected to the NRST pin. They board can work now by fixing the problem.
