Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4403

hello guys i am having problem downloading the AFE4403 EVM zipfile form some reason i have been getting the access denied message does anyone know the solution to that? i emailed them three times already but nobody is answering

  • Hi Ahmed,

I will look into this and see if I can find someone who knows why. For clarification, I had a few questions:

    - Are you trying to get the firmware zip, GUI zip, or both?
    - At what stage was the transaction denied, did you get to the export regulations page?
    - If so, did you select the military or civil option; did you agree to the export controls?
    - I see your affiliation says University of Texas, are you using a .edu address?

I tired to recreate the failure on my end with a TI and school address but to no avail. I will let you know if I find anything.

i mainly need the GUI zip i might need the firmware zip in the future

    - At what stage was the transaction denied, did you get to the export regulations page?

no i didn't  get that far, as soon as i clicked on the GUI zip link it asked me to choose the purpose of the download and i chose civil and it showed the message above.

    - I see your affiliation says University of Texas, are you using a .edu address?

yes i am using a edu. address

thank you very much Nick i appreciate all the help, i have been emailing TI everyday but no response from them

  • Ahmed,

I am still trying to get a hold of the people that handle export control before I just attach the files for you. Just wanted to make sure you were still in the loop. Additionally, are you able to try the download once more and let me know if you get to a page that looks like the following:

If so, the top information that I have redacted in the image should autofill from your account info and if you select "Civil" and "Yes" you should have no issues getting the software. Finally, are you using a VPN? That could be messing up the request; perhaps the TI site is seeing an IP from some foreign country since that is where all of your info is being routed through, resulting in the site immediately rejecting your query. I don't think this is it but it's worth a check.

    Nick

  • Nicholas,

yes i got this page and i did exactly what you said and got the page i attached earlier , i am accessing it from a school PC so i am guessing there is no VPN issues. i appreciate you help
  • Alright, I was hoping it may have worked but guess not. I am going to close this thread since I have word from the software download team that they will contact you directly with the a fix or direct download. If you don't hear back from them soon let me know and I will reopen the case.
