AWR1642BOOST: Cypress S25FL132K flash is going to EOL/NRND, any other alternative serial flash for customer board?

Hi,

The AWR1642 booster pack use Cypress S25FL132K flash.

When customer design their own board, Cypress feedback S25FL132K is going to EOL and not recommended for new design.

My questions are:

(1) Any other alternative serial flash vendor/part number suggested by TI?

(2) When selecting serial flash, any consideration should be followed?

(3) If customer change serial flash to MXIC, Winbond...etc, does Uniflash still work for image downloading?

Hello James,
You can use other device in the same family of S25FL.
In general you refer to the DFP release notes (software-dl.ti.com/.../mmwave_dfp_release_notes.pdf) section 4 to see the requirements for the serial flash.
