HDC1080: Humidity error when Temperature change

Part Number: HDC1080

We are using HDC1080 which datasheet mention that humidity accuracy is +2%.  But we found that Humidity Accuracy we got from testing is higher than + 2% when temperature changing (ie 40C - 60C degree).

Does it have any equation to do compensation the Humidity accuracy to be  + 2%  ?

  • Hi,
The HDC1080 is already compensated in temperature.
Could you please provide more details regarding your issue, for example which is your reference sensor, your PCB layout, the results of your measurements in RH and in Temperature.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Carmine
  • Hi,

Is it sure that HDC1080 no need compensation ?  Is it guarantee humidity accuracy is +2% from 0-80C degree without temperature compensation ?

Could you please double confirm again ?

We used one from competitor brand TE p/n HTU21D. In the datasheet also said accuracy is +2%.  But it also need temperature compensation equation to guarantee the humidity accuracy is +2% from 0-80C degree.
