AWR1642: numADCSamples & trigger possibility on subframe

Part Number: AWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243

Dear Experts,

could You please help with the following requests:

1) The parameter "numADCSamples" is available in both frame configuration and profile configuration.

- do they have a different purpose or function?

- is the one from the frame config overwritten by the profile config?

2) Is there a way to have a trigger on a sub-frame? Or is this only possible with actual frames?

Many thanks and best regards,

Gregor

  • Hi Gregor,

numADCSamples is relevant only in AWR1243 and it configures how many samples per chirp need to be sent on LVDS/CSI2. This needs to be documented correctly in API document  and will correct this in next release.

I didn't fully understand the 2nd question. I assume, you are referring to HW_TRIGGER (SYNC_IN pulse).

You configure the trigger select for a frame or advance frame. In case of legacy frame, SYNC_IN needs to be triggered for every frame. For Advance frame, SYNC_IN pulse needs to be generated for every burst in the sub-frame.
