OPT3001EVM: OPT3001EVM always shows same value on EVM GUI

Did you try to run the last evm software (available here http://www.ti.com/tool/opt3001evm ) on your machine or on a different one? I doubt that it's a driver issue, but let's give it a try. 

You can also try to invert the board and see if it solves the issue (this the kind of message appears when the board is not inserted the right way). You should have "OPT3001" on the silk of the pcb written on the same side than the texas instruments logo: 

Once it's connected launch the OPT3001EVM GUI. Then go to the tab "device" and click on run continuously without changing anything else.

As you can imagine, before posting I have checked twice (at least) :

 - The EVM software comes from TI's website. Its version is 1.0.8

- The PCB is correctly inserted 

As I've changed nothing, the problem is still the same !

Do you confirm, after trying, that it works on a PC running on Windows 10 ?

I've just tried to install the GUI software on a very, very old PC running on Windows XP + SP3. It doesn't work, it's impossible to launch the software. 

Do you know if an older version of the GUI software is available for Windows XP + SP3 ?

Sorry for late reply.
Yes I tested the device on two different computers running on windows 10 and we had no issues.
Let me check if we have an older GUI version that would run on XP+sp3.

Well, the kit doesn't work on my computer running on Windows 10, but you tell me it's OK on a compture running on the same OS. So, my conclusion is that the problem comes from the kit I received.

Unless you provide me with a GUI running on Windows XP + SP3, I ask you to send me a new kit, if possible the one you've tested (I don't care if it a used one)

Yes we will ship you a new evm, I think it's the best way out.
