OPT8241-CDK-EVM: Image artifact observed by using voxel viewer

Image artifact was occasionally observed in voxel viewer (indoor measurement). In the attached plots, the bright part at the upper left corner of the image is image artifact, which is not static but moving fast. A similar behavior can be reproduced easily.

The camera was used out of the box, without user calibration.

Correction: The artifact is located in the upper "right" corner.

The size of the original example capture is too large to be attached to the forum. Instead, attached another example (zipped VXL file) showing a similar artifact. The artifact is shown if the threshold of the amplitude plot is lowered to increase visualized noise level.

I am not seeing anything like your first picture from the VXL you attached. Could you take a snapshot from that VXL playback and arrow-point the spot in the image that concerns you?

Artifact shown in this example is less noticeable than the earlier case. But a moving object (or artifact) can be found in frame #47667 if threshold for display is set similar to the below example. Thank you.

Yes, I can see that now. 1 frame only. Below is my capture. I think they are caused by lens flare that tends to generate overlapping circular patterns like what we are seeing here. The lens's ARC should have taken care of it but there might be some imperfection. Did yo have bright (NIR) light source to the upper right or lower left of the camera?

I found similar artifact in dark room, and I don't think there were other NIR light sources. To confirm this, I can test in other locations. Thank you.
