IWR1443: Vital signs lab does not import in CCSv7.2

Part Number: IWR1443

Hello,

A thread on this topic (link) has been opened in the CCS forum which I believe is not solved. Importing the project in a fresh CCSv7.2 installation for desktop fails with the same error "Device-id 'IR1443' is not recognized"; same when importing the project in CCS Cloud.

Setting the "device" setting in the file vitalSigns_lab.projectspec to IWR1443 instead of IR1443 fixes the import issue. It seems there are further issues during the linking and the binary flash file generation steps though, due to a confusion between MMWAVE_SDK_DEVICE and MMWAVE_SDK_DEVICE_TYPE. I have attached a projectspec file that worked throughout the build in my environment. It would be good this file is double checked.

Thanks,
François.

  • Hello Francois,

Current release vital signs was flushed on CCS7.1 and seems like the newer version of CCS seems to have some incompatibility with our project spec file.

Please try and stick with CCS7.1 and we will update or flow to reflect the necessary requirments.

    Thank you,
    Vaibhav
  • Francois,

JFYI: A new release of the mmWave Training Series (v 1.2.1) is available at dev.ti.com/.../ which you can download directly from the CCS Resource Explorer. This release updates the projects for compatibility with CCS v 7.2 (and maintains compatibility with CCS v 7.1). Can you please mark this answer as verified if the problem has been resolved?

    Thanks
    -Nitin
