FDC1004QEVM: Device Driver Not Successfully Installed, No Driver Found issue for "MSP430-USB Example"

Part Number: FDC1004QEVM

I'm using Windows 7 and trying to get the FDC1004Q EVM to operate with the OneUI Sensing Solutions EVM.

When I plug in the FDC1004QEVM, I get the "no driver found" error. I verify that there is problem with the driver by inspecting control panel/device manager.

I have installed the program as "administrator" and I have run the "sensing solutions EVM GUI" as administrator without success.

Please advise how I can get the EVM working as described in the user's guide.

Have you tried a different USB port and a different computer?

For some reason windows is not installing the driver automatically for your device. You can click on the MSP430 example device in Device Manager and force windows to look for the driver in the GUI installation folder in C\ti...

I had Windows search for a driver (not on computer) and it eventually (10 minutes?) found the driver and installed.
