Dear,

    My customer use OPT8241 on a project of robot vision.They want combine two boards into one pcb. They worry about if this change will affect the  performance.They want know whether the firmware do  a configuration of the position of laser . Whether the firmware do a configuration of the distance between the laser  and the camera.  Can we provide source code of firmware ?They can change the code by themself. Thank you.

    Hi,

    Combining illumination and sensor boards into a single PCB can indeed change the performance. They need to be careful when designing the PCB.

    We can also do a design review if your customer would like it.


    The OPT9221 firmware does not change any setting to configure the position of the laser with respect to the lens.
    The OPT9221 firmware is closed source and we do not provide the source code.

    Dear Anand,

          My customer download mistaken firmware of cypress fx2 when update TOF firmware which rusult  the EVM usb can't be identify. Also they can't use the method to download firmware as before.There are two questions.

    (1) Is there any other method to download firmware which TI provide? Or how to solve this problem?

    (2)Can we use usb to download firmware if the firmware didn't download into EEPROM after paste on board.
