Thanks for the answer. I will take that to mean that the upper temperature sensing limit is 100C for the LM35DT.
Is that what you mean by 'operating temperature'?
I have a followup: If we did use it past the 100C limit, would that damage the device? And/or would sensing go non-linear, read too high, etc.? What behavior might we expect?
It will probably won't damage the device but the accuracy will suffer. Again, if you go beyond the datasheet specs there is no guarantee it will be reliable.
