IWR1642: IWR1642 to get Cartesian (x,y,z) coordinates of the detections

Hi ,

I’m trying to configure the IWR1642 to get Cartesian (x,y,z) coordinates of the detections,

But I get zeros in the Z coordinate.

It seems that the “mmWave Demo Visualizer” supports only in 2d configurations.

Can you please send me a configuration file that supports 3d for the IWR1642?

    In the IWR1642 demo the demo has only 2D detection. Since the IWR1642 has only 2 TX antennas , both have been used for detection in azimuth plane only. Incase of IWR1443BOOST , the 3rd TX antennas has used for the elevation plan resolution.
    But you could design your own PCB with IWR1642 where one of the antennas is used for resolution along elevation plane also.

    As Vivek mentioned, IWR1642 EVM antenna design provides only Azimuth information as both RX antennas are used for Azimuth plane. Can you please mark the answer as verified if this answers your question?
