TMP007EASYCALEVM: TMP007EASYCALEVM

Part Number: TMP007EASYCALEVM

Hi

the question refers to the actual procedure to be implemented when required to calibrate TMP007 at certain temprature range.

the TMP007 Calibration Guide (SBOU142–August 2014) refers in Table 1 to Example Calibration Data Set.

it is required to have few calibration point.

yet- I do not know how to implement this using easyCal Software tool.

the document TMP007EasyCal User's Guide (SBOU149–December 2014) does not refer to this procedure.

it just describes the way to calibrate at single temprature point.

could you please assist in providing multi point detailed explanation how to do the actual calibration - using EasyCal Software tool ?

Thanks

Tal

  • The EasyCal software captures a stream of data at about 1 sample per second. All you need to do is change temperature while it is capturing.

If you collect data, using an external method, at discrete set temperatures, the EasyCal software can still calibrate this data. Save your data in CSV format with Voltage, Die Temperature and Reference object temperature columns the same as EasyCal's output files. Then open your file using the EasyCal Analysis tab.

  • Hi Ren
so, for me to understand to make the best from the IC
the issue I am facing is how to change object and die temprature in a way such that all required temprature range will exist in the CSV file.

so - if I understand it correctly - one CSV file is needed for the calibration . is this correct ?
this file should include sample object and die temprature points that cover all required temprature range.
if the file will be long - lets say it takes two hours for the system to cover all temprature range, then CSV file that represent these two hours is OK. such file can be considered for calibration.
    Is this true ?
The TMP007 functionallity is of highly importance in our system, no issues should occur here, thus I am asking all questions.
    many thanks
    Tal
  • EasyCal can only calibrate one file at a time. You can manually combine files yourself.
Yes, EasyCal can load a two hour long log file.
