AWR1243BOOST: connect two boost boards to TSW1400EVM

Hi,

I have two sets of AWR1243BOOST + MMWAVE-DEVPACK + TSW1400EVM and I'd like to prototype a cascading of two AWR1243 (without LO sync for now). I see that Radar Studio has some support for cascading. There is TSW1400 firmware and HSDC Pro configuration files as well. From this I understand that the intended configuration is connecting two Devpack boards to a single TSW1400. However I cannot find any information regarding the hardware setup. Where can I find this information? How the boards should be connected?

Hello,
The present set of EVMs do not support cascade configuration, they are intended for single chip usage. For cascading you would have to sync the LOs between the devices. We are working on a reference EVM for cascade solution as well.

Hi,

I know about LO sync problem. There are things we can work on even without LO synchronization. My question is, how can I connect two DEVPACK modules to a single TSW1400 for the testing purpose, so FPGA will correctly forward the data from both radars to HSDCPro/RadarStudio?

Hello,

The Radar Studio software does not support multiple DevPack connection and such what you are trying to achieve might not be doable.
Cascade features are still a work in progress for more information on this please get in touch with Sales/Business team close to you.
