LMT70A: Unparalleld temperature matching performance

Hi,

I have a question about the LMT70/70A. I don't really understand the part of the unparalleld temperature matching performance.

1. Am I right that the matching performance means, that there are only pairs of two LMT70A's, which are within 0.1°C at 30 °C? So not the whole reel contains LMT70A's with a deviation within 0.1°C?

2. And just to be sure: If I order one reel of LMT70, which are used in a Temperature range of 20 to 42 °C, the accuracy of each will be within +/- 0.13, so the maximum deviation would be 0.26 °C ?

    Ralph,

    1) If you look at the note in the datasheet section 6.  In order to meet the matching specification of the LMT70A, two units must be picked from adjacent positions from one tape and reel. The 0.1C matching at 30C is not for the whole reel but adjacent devices.

    2) The maximum deviation of any two devices from 20C to 42C should be 0.26C.  However, this doesn't account for ADC errors.  The overall system accuracy may be worse.  You will have to consider the error contribution from ADC (e.g. gain, offset, reference errors).
