AWR1243: single tone signal config problem in radar studio

when setting a AWR1243 device in TI's GUI software Radar studio  hoping to transmit a 77GHz CW tone signal as my TI FAE engineer advised ,I confronted the following problem:

I select the parameters and press the buttons step by step, there is nothing wrong until in the ContStream ,when i press Enable,the current suddenly fallen down from 320mA to 155mA,and the communicatin interface  between software and device was cutted off.The output of Radar studio showed following message.have someone encounter the same problem?

  • Hello Zhuozhen,
    Looks like you are using a very old DPF package. Did you purchase the EVM from ti.com or was it provided to you by the local TI FAE ? If it was provided to you by the TI FAE could you check with him about which PG (1.0 or 2.0) device does it have?

    The TI FAE told me that the version of the AWR1243(perhaps ES1.0) chip provided to me is old,so when used with the new DPF package there maybe some problem.Thank you for your advice ,I will check with my FAE.
