DRV5032: Shock Sensitivity

Part Number: DRV5032

I am considering using the Hall effect sensor in an application that will be subject to frequent shocks.  I could not find a specification in the data sheet for shock tolerance.  Can anyone help, please?

Thanks,

Michael

  • Michael, just to be clear, you're referring to high G-force shocks, and not ESD? TI Hall sensors are no more susceptible to G-forces than other devices. I think most often, solder joints between the device leads and the PCB are the first thing to fail due to high vibration or shock.
