Dear all

I confuse about PWM output and duty control when disconnect remote diode on LM63 evaluation board.

Does there have any way to change PWM duty when remote diode disconnection?

Hi Jimmy,

The PWM output pin is to drive the fan. The LM63 controls fan speed based on remote-diode input temperature using the computing duty stores lookup table.

Unfortunately, there is no other way to disconnect the mechanism.

Note it, does it possible change to reference local temperature sensor?

Hi Jimmy,

I'm sorry for the long delayed response. The fan control does not work with internal temperature. However, you can put the part in maual mode only by using the microcontroller writes to the PWM register; it will disable the remote fan control. Note a diode is still connected to the remote channel; otherwise, the PWM is at max full speed.
