AWR1243: data format and center frequency when capture ADC data using TSW1400

I learn the data format in training.ti.com/mmwave-sensor-raw-data-capture-using-tsw1400-board.

What does it mean? I don't understand. HSDC Pro value - 2e15 = the value I can use ?

Who can detail it more for me? Thank you!

Hello Zhicheng,
When the data is captured by the TSW1400 board it actually saves the value with an offset of 2e15. So when you read the raw file saved from HSDC pro you need to substrate 2e15 to get back the actual value that was captured.

There is no such offset in the ADC data bin file which is saved in radar studio, right?

Hello Chris,
The HSDC pro always saves the file with this offset. But when the Radar studio post proc interprets this file it automatically accounts for it and the plots you see in post proc is of the actual ADC data.

I mean the dump file in radar studio. There should be no such offset in the dump file, right?

Hello Chris,
The dump file from the radar studio also has this offset. It is basically same as saving the binary file from HSDC pro.
