AWR1642: Data format captured using AWR1642 EVM+TSW1400

Part Number: AWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVE-DFP

Hi,

There is below configuration view in the radar studio, currently we know the data format for ADC_ONLY configuration, my customer also want to know the data format for the other packet configuration. We checked the AWR1xx data path programmer's guide, not found the exact information, would u pls help describe the data format for all the packet configuration?

Many thanks and regards,

Andy

  • Hello Andy,

The support for CP "Chirp Parameters" is available in the device firmware that is available in the MMWAVE-DFP. The details of the CP data format is available  in section 5.14.3 of "AWR1xx_Radar_Interface_Control.pdf ". The customer can use the ADC_CP, CP_ADC mode of operation with the current firmware.

At this point device firmware does not support the CQ data . This will be made available in the future releases of the MMWAVE-DFP.

    Thanks,

    Raghu

  • Raghu,

What I want to know is not only the CP/CQ bit format, I want to know the format of the data captured and stored in file C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_00_07_00_04\rf_eval\radarstudio\PostProc\adc_data.bin. Below link described the ADC raw data format for ADC_ONLY, but no description about the format for other configuration with CP/CQ. So would u pls instruct me the data format as below link?
