Hello,

Is there any information for the relationship between "Maximum Unambiguous Range" and "Range Resolution"?
My customers want to achieve the best performance of AWR1642BOOST for the following parameter.
- Range accuracy
- Angle accuracy
- SNR
- Other RF parameters

In my customer's side, they evaluated the following situation.
1. Maximum Unambiguous Range is 25m and Range Resolution is 5cm
1. Maximum Unambiguous Range is 25m and Range Resolution is 10cm

The second one output better results than first.
So, they think that there is the best setting of Range Resolution for Maximum Unambiguous Range with AWR1642BOOST.

Hello Nomo,

The Range resolution is function of the sweep bandwidth of the chirp .

Where as the max range is dependent on max IF bandwidth, slope of the chirp. The max range is also limited by the SNR of the received signal.

There is an app-note "Programming Chirp Parameters in TI Radar Devices" for more details regarding the max unambiguous range and the range resolution.
