OPT8241-CDK-EVM: Sensor output and controller output options

Hi,

we are using the OPT8241-CDK-EVM board for evaluating the sensor output data.

we would like to recieve the RAW output of the 4 readouts per frame, before any data manipulation, and save them.

is that possible?

if not, i'd like to know:

1. what is the nature of the data on sensor output? what kind of processing in done on the sensor?

2. what is the processing done on the controller (OPT9221)?

3. can the controller be bypassed, and can sensor output be presented on the Voxel viewer and saved?

>> We do not support OPT8241 standalone operation at this time. OPT8241 and OPT9221 are intended to work together as a chipset.

>> Sensor connects to OPT9221 through several channels of LVDS.

2. what is the processing done on the controller (OPT9221)?

>> OPT9221 cannot be bypassed.

Thanks Larry for the quick response.

regarding Q1, i meant to ask what is the actual data on the sensor output.

is it 4 phases readout per frame, or is the sensor already processing the depth, amplitude and ambient?

OPT8241 outputs digitized (A+B) and (A-B) readings, where A and B are the collector voltages of each pixel. From them OPT9221 computes I and Q, and from I and Q, the phase, amplitude, ambient. Again, the video explains this in detail.
