Hi, team

My customer evaluate TDC1000-C2000EVM.So they have the questions.

Would you tell me any advises?

#1 Why cannot They measure?

 It was able to measure it when it is the propagation distance at about 100mm.

 But, it was impossible to measure in the same mode, when it is distance less than 10mm.

 So, they could achieve the START / STOP signal by changed to Short TOF Measurement, but they cannot measure it  with  installed GUI,it will become TIME OUT.

 (Then it is measuring the TOF with oscilloscope was about 7us.)

#2 The how much  resolution.

 iI it all good value to consider that although the TOF measurement value of the GUI is displayed up to the unit of the decimal place sixth place(0.001 ns)?

 They are required the resolution of about 10ns.

#3 Is the function built at this EVM's microcomputer?

    1. Measuring below 10mm is challenging with ultrasonic because the transducer will still be ringing even after the excitation period has ended. It is likely that the return echo is being hidden beneath the transducer ringdown. Could you please share the register settings your customer is using? They can save the config file from the GUI.

    2. The resolution of the C2000 is certainly finer than 10ns. I am unsure about the exact specification, but the C2000 team will be able to better answer this.
