IWR1642BOOST: IWR1642BOOST

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

When I run UniFlash on the IWR1642Boost EVB. I met error whenever flashing the bin file at the 0x000000.

My computer environment is Windows 10 64 bit, Uniflash 4.2 and using C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_01_00_00_05\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\mmw\xwr16xx_mmw_demo.bin file

Device manager shows XDS110 class Application/User UART(COM5), and Auxiliary Data Port(Com6).

As the description of pdf, I run Uniflash with COM5.

But I have error message as below.

  • Hello ,

The recommended way to use the UNIFLASH for mmWave devices is to "Choose Your Device" in the "New Configuration" rather than the AutoConnection.

Please refer to the MMWAVE_UNIFLASH_USERGUIDE for your reference.

The "data verification Error" is seen when the Uniflash tries to use the JTAG to download the FW rather than the UART.  Download of FW is not supported over JTAG for mmwave devices.

Hope this resolves the issue you are facing with Uniflash flashing.

    Thanks,

    Raghu

  • Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, my Windows system 10 was failed, I think.

I changed Linux machine to use UniFlash, Linux machine was passed successful fusing by UniFlash linux version.

Now, I have to test the demo application of TI's lab and demo program.

    Thank you for reply.
