LMP91300: Sensitivity range drift in inductive proximity sensor

Part Number: LMP91300

We are experiencing a permanent shift in the sensing range of a proximity sensor.  The assembled product is tested for sensing range prior to leaving our manufacturing facility and is found to be changed after transit to the customer and final testing there.  Circuit gain is set using a linear trip pot prior to encapsulation.  Any history on this type of change would be helpful.

  • Hello Mark,
How big is the shift you are seeing? Also did you do a two point calibration (two different temperatures) or just a single? If you calibrated at room temperature, it could be possible that the temperature is different at the customer site which would affect the switching range slightly.
    Regards,
    Luke
