Part Number: TMP007
Hi
the question is regarding the accuracy of the TMP007 die and sensor voltage readings.
I am using power down mode in my application - bit 12 in register2.
the method of work is -
1. the device is in 'power down' mode ( bit 12/reg 2 = 0 )
2. enable 'conversion on' mode ( bit 12/reg 2 = 1 ) for conversion rate = 0.26Sec.
3. wait for 0.26Sec and read die temprature data (reg 1) and sensor voltage data (reg 0)
4. set device to 'Power down' Mode ( bit 12/reg 2 = 0 )
it is noted that the calculated object temperature using the above method is degraded by 0.3 to 1 deg below its expected value - in compare to a mode where the device is in 'convertion on' mode all time.
the question is :
1. is the degraded accuracy expected using first convertion reading ?
2. what is your recommendation on the method of correcting the object temperature estimation ?
please understand the method of work must stay as described since the time sequence is important and minimum time is required.
Thanks
