OPT3001-Q1: OPT3001 Accuracy, long-term stability, batch-to-batch consistency and calibration.

Part Number: OPT3001-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3001,

I'm looking for information regarding accuracy, long-term stability, batch-to-batch consistency of the OPT3001 device, which we would like to use in our design for a new product. It is important to us that after being integrated into an optical system, (1 diffuser and a window), that the sensor remains stable over time and also, that we don't need to calibrate every single device in production, but one per batch, using procedure described in http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbea002/sbea002.pdf. Batch-to-batch consistency in readings is also of high importance.

Do you consider this being the right sensor for this purpose? Or do you have other products that fit us better?
Do you think it's feasible to calibrate one device for a larger batch, or does OPT3001 require being individually calibrated when an external diffuser is added?

I would appreciate some input and preferably numbers regarding the accurancy and other qualities mentioned in the question.

Thank you in advance!
