AWR1642: Temperature sensor

Hi,

I found that there is no temperature sensor in Rev. E1 board. There are two in Rev A board. What is the function of these two temperature sensors ? We are designing an end product, should we keep the temperature sensor for end product ? Thanks.

Hello Martin,
The temperature sensors are not mandatory. They are present only if your application wants to monitor the PCB temperature and take some high level decisions based on that, for example reduce the frame transmit rate if the temperature is too high. Just a crude example but my point is it depends on your application , if you want to make use of such a sensor or not.
