Hi,

I was working on with my radar module when suddenly the UART disconnected. I tried removing the power jack and putting it back it but the NRST LED wasn't glowing. Also, the radars COM's port isn't being recognised by the PC. Does that mean the radar is dead?

Hello ,

There should not be any problem. We have not got any report of the device going bad by disconnecting the UART.

Please check if you can re-flash the image to the AWR1443BOOST using the Uniflash.

Hi,

The device didnt break because the UART disconnected. I'm saying that my device no longer connects to the UART and is no longer being recognised by my PC on the COMs port. Also, certain GPIO Pins are outputting 1.2V instead of 3.3V. Since my PC doesn't recognise my AWR1443, i cant reflash it.

Hello Saad,
I suspect the board might have got damaged. Would it be possible for you to probe on the following power supply net: "PMIC_1V8" (expected to 1.8V( , "PMIC_2V3" (expected to be 2.3V) , "PMICOUT_3V3" (expected to 3.3V ) , "PMIC_1V2" (expected to be 1.2V) , "AR_1V8" (expected to 1.8V) to check if the supplies to the AWR device are available as expected ?

Hi,

Sorry what do you mean by power supply net. Previously i probed the GPIO pins on the board using an oscilliscope.

Hello Saad,
I mean mean probe the supplies using the oscilloscope. For example you can probe the 'PMIC_1V8" supply on C81 capacitor , "PMICOUT_3V3" supply on C55 capacitor, etc.
